The Heart of His Mercy:

From Generation to Generation

3-Day Advent Bible Study

Advent = “an arrival”

Mercy = “To show compassion and forgiveness”

During the Christmas season—many people gather around with friends, family, children, and communities to live in the joy of the season. Where can we find our hope, joy, and peace on earth each day we wake up? We can find that in the hope of Jesus who offered His life for us so that we can work out our salvation daily (Philippians 2:12). Christ offered up a gift we can never give back and those who believe in Him are sealed with a promise to be with Him forever when this earth passes away. Who do you say that Jesus is (Matthew 16:15-16)? Have you learned through scripture and church history of who He is? Do you know why the suffering He experienced helps us navigate the suffering in our personal lives and those around us? Advent is a time when believers of Christ all over the world celebrate the remembrance of the birth of Jesus (the Messiah) through the Christmas season. The Latin word for Advent means “to come to” or “an arrival.” Through this 3-Day Advent Bible Study, we will study the scriptures about “the one who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty”. (Revelations 1:8). A short study you can participate in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

Day 1: The Suffering Servant (Isaiah 53 | 1 Peter 5:10)

Day 2: Nothing is Impossible (Luke 1:26-38 | Hebrews 11:6 | Isaiah 9:6)

Day 3: All Generations Blessed (Luke 1:39-55)
